Moses: breaking Tables of Law -- Golden calf, with break in middle of back stands on draped altar. At left, two of three men wear pointed hats; the third man looks right toward Moses, raising Tables of Law with right hand over the golden calf. Aaron, raising both hands, stands behind Moses.
