1) Christ: Flight into Egypt -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and diapered backgrounds, Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, holds swaddled, cross-nimbed Christ Child and sits sideways on bridled ass led by Joseph the Carpenter carrying draped staff on shoulder.
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing six French heraldic escutcheons, including Count of Soissons (one) and Count of Grandpré (two), in medallions and inhabited by seven birds, including one flying, hybrid bird, ahybrid man, and draped hybrid animal.
