Scene: unidentified -- In right border, Franciscan monk, wearing habit, kneels on rocky outcropping below shrine with statue of Virgin Mary holding Christ Child. Shrine is attached to oak. Crutches hang from branch above shrine.
In lower margin, angel, flanked by two lily plants, gestures towards Franciscan monk, supporting himself with crutch, carrying jug in right hand, and rosary in left hand.
He advances towards rocky outcropping, with lilies, surmounted by oak in which is tree house with ladder, its opening covered by curtain. Cat sits above tree house in branches.
