Psalm 038:01 (Vulg., 037:02) -- Initial D of Domine enclosing lion with raised right paw against gold background; the initial’s ascender extending across left, upper, and right margins, partly formed by dragon-like hybrid animal and terminating in head of hybrid cleric, wearing miter, with tongue protruding; the descender extending across left, lower, and right margins partly formed by dragon-like hybrid animal, with long ears and neck, the whole on which is perched hybrid man, wearing hood, with body of long-necked, two-legged beast.
