Within tripartite miniature divided by two distinct architectural settings:
1) Zacharias: Annunciation -- Within architectural setting, angel appears above Zacharias, wearing vestments, swinging censor, kneeling before draped altar surmounted by reliquary (shrine).
2) Virgin Mary: Visitation -- To right, within landscape, Virgin Mary, nimbed, and Elizabeth, nimbed, veiled, place hands on each other's abdomens.
3) John Baptist: Birth -- Within architectural setting, two women flank Elizabeth, nimbed, veiled, reclining in canopied bed. At foot of bed, Virgin Mary, nimbed, holds infant John Baptist, swaddled.
The canopy of the bed is inscribed INTER NATOS MULIERUM NON SURREXIT MAIOR.
