Beginning of Joshua.
Joshua: crossing Jordan -- Man, with right hand raised, stands behind Joshua, wearing hat, raising right forefinger and holding book in left hand. At right is man with right forefinger raised and left hand raised, beside another man. Above, hand of God, making gesture of blessing, emerges from clouds. Figures are between waters of Jordan. Scene within decorated initial E.
In lower margin is man aiming bow and arrow at rabbit. In right margin is fantastic animal, winged, and soldier, wearing armor, mounted on horse, carrying lance and shield.
