Beginning of Ruth
Naomi and Elimelech: in Moab - In upper part of decorated initial I, Elimelech, wearing hat, carries staff draped with bundle over left shoulder. In middle part of initial, Naomi, wearing headdress, carrying staff draped with bundle over left shoulder, holds with her right hand the right hand of child. In bottom part of initial, Man, holds staff in right hand and raises left forefinger.
