Apostle Paul, nimbed, holding raised sword in right hand and closed book in left hand. Figure in decorated initial F with foliate extenders in margin.
In lower margin is escutcheon of arms (or three bends azure with a cardinal's hat), possibly those of Cardinal Niccolò Fieschi, count of Lavagna, enclosed in a wreath. Margins with foliate ornament.
