Psalm 069 (Vulg., 068). David as three-quarter figure, crowned, looking upward, wearing knotted sash, arms crossed on breast, next to harp in landscape. Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including campanula, thistle, strawberry, daisy, and cornflower, and inhabited by two fantastic birds, one with face on breast. Text is beginning of Psalm 69 (Vulg., 68), in Matins for Thursday.
