Scene against gold diapered background, beneath cinquefoil arch with pinnacles, in initial D with ascender of headless hybrid animal, within diapered panel.
Beginning of first versicle of Vespers of Hours of the Holy Sacrament.
Initial G decorated with head of animal, at beginning of Gloria patri.
Margins decorated with foliate stems, balls, and bottom bar of scrolling foliage.
Margin, upper, inhabited by hybrid animal with tail of foliate stem.
Margin, left, inhabited by by butterfly, youth standing with joined hands raised, and hybrid animal with open jaws.
Margin, lower, inhabited by seated dog attacked in rear with forked implement by monkey, beside head of monster extending flame-like tongue with ball terminals; below, youth standing, holding forked implement, and hybrid snail with long beak.
Margin, right, inhabited by female donor (donee ?), wearing veiled headdress and vair-lined mantle with vair collar, kneeling, holding open book with both hands, on tip of foliate stem.
