1) Christ: Washing of Feet -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and diapered backgrounds, Christ, cross-nimbed, wears an apron. He kneels and washes in a basin the left leg of tonsured and nimbed Apostle Peter who touches his raised right leg. Behind him are three apostles, including one nimbed.
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing six French heraldic shields, including Count of Soissons (two), Hangest (one), and Count of Grandpré (two), and inhabited by three hybrid animals, a hybrid bird, a monkey astride a hybrid animal and a cat astride a hybrid animal, both jousting each other with a lance and a shield, and a hybrid.
